Who is Who

Guys, I am in touch with some alumni from SEMC. About some I hear it from the grapevine. Would not it be nice if all of us shared where one is working (organization), where one is based in (location), what domain one is working on, and so on? I think it would be great. Please reply by "commenting" on this post.

Let me start.

I am working as a Senior business analyst for Mercedes-Benz R&D India. I am located in Bangalore and my portfolio includes corporate/business intelligence, secondary/primary market research, trend monitoring, benchmarking (competitors, suppliers, etc.) and so on

Small steps...

Nice to see the positive responses... and thanks to Gunjan, Manash Baruah n Nipan for the inspiring posts...

I'm still waiting for Airtel to restore my net connection in the new house (posting this from my pda). I've written a few lines about the meet and how to channelize this into a permament community for SEMCians, to network, share and to help each other out personally and professionally but will be able to post when the net connection is restored!

We'll share latest news on SEMC and SEMCians on a regular basis in this blog. Lotszz of plans...and ReMixx '09 is just the beginning!!

GOOD NEWS LIST:
1. Manash Sarmah (CSE B2000-04) got married in Oct.
2. Swati Sharma and Rakesh kr. Yadav (both from CSE B2000) got married in Dec.

3. Niraj Talukdar (CSE B2000-04) got married in Dec.
4. Kanika Dixit (IT B2000)became a proud mother.

Heartiest congratulations to my fellow friends. I would request everyone to share their good news as well in future.

Will write a more meaningful post in a bit!!

Have a gr8 weekend!

This is our forum... let's keep it nice, bful n lively!!

Hi Buddies !!

Thanks Guni for the welcome message. And thanks to Jagat for initiating this.....and thanks Baruah for giving us a resolve as to not to make this site another BE_SEMC group. Actually people like me have contributed a lot in making BE_SEMC group a non existent entity- by not "contributing" at all. So this time around I will be no sepctator. Feeling great to be a part of this initiative.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending"

So lets take the first task - "The Get-together" - to its logical end or rather a begining...a begining of staying in touch....forever.....
Raring to go !!!!

Cheers !!!
Nipan Talukdar

Bonjour !

Finally !!

Thanks Jagat for this wonderful initiative and Gunjan, for your beautiful welcome message.

There are times when a tentative step becomes a way of life. And you never know why so many well intentioned and spirited efforts become nonobservance. Lets not make this another BE_SEMC group of Yahoo. I still remember how ritually we used to contribute when the group was just an infant and now for three months none of us have cared even to post a hii.
A new idea is always invigorating., but, genuine enthusiasm can only be sustained about something we are truly passionate about.
Guys, this time lets keep this passion alive, till the day we meet and even after…
And about the alumni meet, just try to plan the meet in the weekend. Since I’ll be on quite a long leave for Bihu, leave on a weekday may be tough.

P.S: what the heck…even if it’s a weekday I’ll be there!!

cheers,
manash baruah

Welcome

Dear SEMCians,

I take this opportunity on behalf of my batchmates to formally inaugurate this alumni blog. Though it came into being for the co-ordination of an alumni get-together, it is not restricted by that purpose alone. Please use and contibute to it as often as you can. Let us make an endeavour to make it a common portal for all of us who were, or still are, a part of an institution that gave us our professional degree.

It is good to be in touch. Better to reminiscent. Best if you land up with a career option talking to your college buddies :)

So, please take active part in this blog and let us make something meaningful out of it.

Regards,

Gunjan Sharma,
